Aruba sights

Aruba has its own unique beauty.  It is not your typical Caribbean island.  You wont find mountains covered with tall palms, or walkways lined with flowers.  To uncover Aruba’s beauty, you have to look beyond the surface.  You have to venture to the Atlanta shore, and watch the unrestrained waves cascade on the rocks, you would have to take a hike to one of Aruba’s tall hills to look at the Dutch style landscaping.

Although you might be tempted to stay on the beaches, be sure to take a tour of the island.    The biggest tour operators in Aruba is the DePalm Tours , they offer excellent half day tours in a comfortable well conditioned motor coach.  The most popular tour is the Jeep Safari.  You are driven in an open-air jeep along the islands beautiful countryside, bouncing along the desert terrain

The best part of the island to see the countryside is the Casibari Rock Formation, a very easily climb, and the results are a stunning view of the Cunucu (countryside).

Aruba is a great place to shop for both international and local goods.   You can visit the shopping district on the Oranjestads waterfront, which is filled with colorful malls.  There is also the Seaport Mall, and the Seaport Marketplace

Aruba has several beaches, the calmest being Baby Beach, located on the far southern tip of the island near San Nicolas.  The most popular beaches in Aruba are on the Southwest end of the island, where the major hotels are.  They are called Palm, and Eagle Beaches.

Horseback ride heaven is at the Rancho Del Campo, where you can horseback ride through Arubas only national park called “Arikok

All tourist much visit Charlies Bar, located in San Nicolas it is Aruba’s most loved bar.  Charlie has served generations of locals and tourists alike. Vistors are enocuraged to leave any memorabilia that you want, from pieces of clothing to flags, which cover eery surface.   This bar serves delicious drinks and food, surf and turf, eat well for lunch or dinner.
