Very Good
Accommodation, meals and water activities were excellent. An ideal hotel for a family, including children. The games room needs improvement and so too the nightly entertainment. The hotel property is well laid out, nicely coordinated and oh yes, the view of the Caribbean Sea and Ocho Rios from the room balcony is awesome.
Excellent Vacation Spot
From the moment we arrived, we knew there were exciting things awaiting. From the cleanliness of the property to the friendly guard who greeted us by the entrance, everything was just the way we’d imagine. Unfortunately, things went down-hill when I tried checking-in. I arrived an hour before check-in time (3pm), and wanted to freshen up before grabbing a bite. When I went to check-in I was asked to wait 15mins because the room is not yet ready. That 15mins turned into 90, so I went back to the front deck clerk who rudely asked me to sit and wait as the room is still not read. That’s when i asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, who not only accompanied us to the room, but apologized on behalf of his co-worker. All said and done we decided not to let that ruin our vacation, so once we took a nap and got dressed we headed down to the light-house slide and thats where it all began. It was so much fun, the various pools, the beach…and the oh-so-fabulous swim-up bars. The food was excellent and the staff great, I’d definitely re-visit this hotel and recommend to friends and family.
Good for families, not for Honeymooners
We’d never stayed at an all-inclusive resort before, but I thought we’d give it a try for a few days of our honeymoon. It turned out to be loud and stressful… not quite our speed for a vacation. There were

a lot of families, and the resort was noisy–with kids during the day and loud entertainment music at night (even in our 14th floor room!). Also, we had poor customer service experiences, including unhelpful managers and insufficient staff upon check-in (we waited 45 minutes to get into our room). The primary concern that we had with our stay was the policy on reservations for the fine dining restaurants (there are 3-4 in total, but not all are open every night). Basically, you get the best food in the restaurants with reservations, otherwise you eat at their buffet. So, the more times you can eat at their fine dining restaurants, the better value you receive for your money. Their reservation policy favors groups that stay for longer periods of time. You can only make a reservation after you have checked in to your room. They only accept reservations for up to two days ahead of time, which prevents people who are staying for a week to get early priority on reservations… However, it is difficult to obtain a reservation for the evening of your first day. This may not bother families who are staying for a week because perhaps they could get reservations for 6 out of the 7 nights (all but the first night), a large proportion of the nights. However, we were only staying for two nights, and given the current policy, we could only have expected to have a fancy dinner for half of the nights that we stayed. With some luck (and speaking to a few managers), I was able to obtain a reservation for our first night. However, we were very disappointed with a many aspects of our customer service experience.
